How do I prepare for my consultation?

It is important to gather some key information before your consultation with Dr Raj Reddy, including your:

  • medical history
  • medical imaging
  • medical tests or investigations

To ensure you can make the earliest possible appointment, please obtain a detailed referral letter from your GP or other referring doctor and email or fax this to Dr Reddy’s office.

Because your time is valuable, please attach your medical scans (such as x-rays, CT and MRI scans) and reports (such as blood test results). This will help Dr Reddy assess you sooner.

Please view our privacy policy before your appointment, which you are required to agree to before your consultation.

When you attend your appointment, our administrative staff will greet you. They will request your referral and any medical reports and scans. It is essential that you also bring:

  • copies of your scans (hard copies or saved to a USB or CD)
  • test results
  • a list of your current medications

When you arrive, you will need 10 to 15 minutes to complete a patient registration form and other administration. Please arrive before your consultation to allow enough time.

Your consultation with Dr Reddy will involve examining your medical history, explaining your imaging and test results, and if required, a physical examination.

Dr Reddy and his team do their utmost to guide you through this process with ease. However, we understand that seeing a medical specialist may be a new experience and we welcome any questions you may have.

It can also be helpful to bring someone whom you trust with you to your consultation, such as a relative or a close friend. They can help you remember details about your medical history and symptoms or questions you wish to ask. They can also help you absorb information Dr Reddy imparts.

What happens after my consultation?

After your consultation, there are a few possible outcomes which Dr Reddy will explain to you.

You might require further medical investigations before another appointment. You might also need to see more specialists who will collaborate with Dr Reddy to care for you. You may even need a different medical specialist.

If your treatment requires surgery, Dr Reddy will provide you with comprehensive information about your procedure, including the benefits, risks and process and the timeframe in which this will occur.

Surgical procedures can vary significantly. These distinctions depend on your condition, how it presents in your body, how your body responds to it, your particular medical history and whether the procedure is performed in a public or private hospital.
